NEWS - "YOLA" reworks Claxy’s “Underwater” into a vibrant Afro house remix Electronic

Duo Claxy, singer and songwriter Clara Valente and producer Gui Gautreaux , unveil a new version of their track “Underwater”, remixed by São Paulo producer YOLA. The remix will be released on March 6 via Embassy One. Originally built around themes of creative freedom and the weight of external judgment, Underwater blends English and Portuguese lyrics, reflecting Claxy’s Brazilian roots. For this reinterpretation, YOLA reshapes the track into a groove-driven Afro house cut, using Clara Valente’s vocals as the foundation for a new rhythmic structure. The Portuguese line “Se liga, sai da minha, sem me afogar” becomes a hypnotic hook designed for the dancefloor. While the original leaned toward introspection, the remix pushes the track into a more rhythmic and club-oriented territory, merging Claxy’s melodic universe with YOLA’s organic Afro house approach. Note Claxy will open for Paul Kalkbrenner in Potsdam on 9 May 2026.
