NEWS - When the Past Still Echoes: Katana’s “Memories” Hits Harder Than Expected

An electrifying blend of Nu Metal and Hardcore from this powerhouse Ukrainian band. Expect heavy riffs, crushing breakdowns, and intense vocals.

Formed in 2019 in Khmelnytskyi by guitarist Vitalii Bodnar and vocalist Vladyslav Byvalin, KATANA quickly took shape despite lineup changes and early challenges. Their debut single “Я не будую стін” (I’m Not Building Walls) led to the 2021 album “Ворог” (The Enemy), exploring themes of self-growth and the pursuit of happiness.

Between 2022–2024, amid the Russo-Ukrainian war, the band played charity shows supporting ukrainian soldiers and displaced people. The video “Твори” (Create) followed in 2022, and in 2023 KATANA released their English EP “Destruction”, delving into chaos and human imperfection.
