NEWS - 'Vertical' is the title song of an EP of six original songs, jazz/singersongwriter's Sara So Far
The song was recorded with acoustic instruments only and has an organic jazz-feel to it. This song was inspired by the saying 'if your footprint cannot be wide, let it be deep', exploring themes of getting older, maturing and living life more deeply. Less fast&superficial.
Sara So Far (NL/BE) is as much a poet as a jazz singer, pianist and composer. Known for her warm vocals and the wide range of topics that saturate her storytelling, she experiments with piano harmonies until she finds that sweet spot where the chords simply hug you. As a jazz vocalist she captivates her listeners with deeply creative melodies and unique live improvisations, displaying a wide and multi-coloured vocal range. She has developed a sound of her own, grown out of her training at the Conservatories of Brussels (where she studied with David Linx) and Cologne, and out of her performance experience over time. Her songwriting and work as a vocalist remind her listeners of Joni Mitchell, Emma Frank, Säje and Hohnen Ford.
