A house on the shores of Lagoa da Conceição, in Florianópolis city (BRA), surrounded by nature and accessible only by boat. This was the setting that gave birth to the debut album “Apenas”, translated to “Just”, of UmQuarto, a psychedelic rock power trio. The independently released disc features 10 tracks, ranging from agitation to calm, passing through all the moods we felt between 2020 and 2021. The band defines the release as a realization of a joint effort in not leaving the music to die in the times we live in. And there's no denying it.

“It's a work with a beginning, middle and an end. Singles give us a certain creative freedom, when it comes to experimenting with new styles, new arrangements. But a full disc is important to keep everything very balanced and cohesive. It was a challenge to produce and arrange these songs during our isolation and social distance. Afterwards, joining the band, producer and sound engineer, and a photographer, in a secluded house on the edge of Lagoa da Conceição, and being able to put all this idealization on the 'tape' was incredibly wonderful.”, defines Mayer Soares, bassist and vocalist.
