NEWS - Transgalactica "Liberal Anthem" is the third song from our first album "Better Angels”
It was inspired by a fragment of Steven Pinker’s book Enlightenment Now, where professor Pinker says there is no liberal church that would glorify liberal thinkers. Pinker advises against it, but we decided that it wouldn’t be bad to have something that could perhaps pass as the liberal anthem, because it would remind us that the liberal idea is noble, lofty, humanistic, pro human rights, beneficial for all mankind and conducive to universal happiness and well being. Musically, the “hard-rock” anti-populist part was inspired by a 16th-century Polish song Hej żeglujże, żeglarzu, and the anthem part (our dream is to have it sung one day by Jon Anderson from Yes) is loosely based on All Tomorrow’s Parties by Velvet Underground.
Nous sommes un duo père-fils polonais qui compose de la musique promouvant la vision du psychologue de Harvard Steven Pinker. Notre premier album se situe musicalement entre le rock symphonique et le metal progressif.
Nous enregistrons actuellement notre deuxième album, « Onwards and Upwards ».
