NEWS - Toronto Shoegaze Outfit AloneKitty Rebuilds and Roars on "Stay The Same" From Upcoming ‘Sad Not Sad’ Album
AloneKitty is the creation of Toronto-based artist Michelle K, heavily influenced by the likes of Sonic Youth, Slowdive, HUM, Mogwai, MBV, The House of Love as well as other bands from Creation Records' heyday.
Formed after Michelle was laid off from her job, she spent a year writing and recording for the debut record, the intensely personal AloneKitty which flashed on the NACC charts at #164 in January of 2025.
Produced with Josh Korody (Beliefs), mixed by Luke Schindler (Alexisonfire, Broken Social Scene) and mastered by Slowdive’s Simon Scott, the "Sad Not Sad" is both massive and painfully intimate.
