Tara Vern is a guitar-playing ex-lawyer from Sydney, Australia, now based in Lisbon, Portugal. Tried To Drown My Sorrows But The Bastards Learned To Swim is the second solo album from the former guitarist/vocalist of noughties Sydney band Guddling.

While Feverlurden was a tight, compact offering, the new one,  Tried to Drown My Sorrows... takes the listener to more distant sonic territories, without losing the energy and immediacy of the debut.
