NEWS - "Stained Soul" is the third single from Rouen-based hardcore-sludge punk band SPLIT

The single implicitly evokes the fight against addictions and the progressive destruction of body and soul they bring. In so doing, the band puts its finger on the very essence of the punk movement (to which it belongs) : urgency.

Speaking in the third person of a mysterious, demonic entity that seems to indicate his every move, the band's singer angrily denounces the hold he has over him, represented in the clip by a black matter that gradually takes hold of him, consuming his meager share of light that tries to resist. Here, punk-hardcore asserts itself as a form of resistance : to ourselves, to our dark side and to our demons.
