If there is someone who knows how to tell a story and is a natural choice for a first artist out, Jakob Mind is an easy choice. He perfectly illustrates my sense of discomfort in my own being and has the words to describe what isn't sitting right in your head.
I met Jakob years ago at a festival, deep in the Swedish woods, surrounded by nothing but pine trees, sunshine, and drunk people. I have since followed his fantastic band Rotten Mind and I am delighted to have him as a guest vocalist.
"Somebody Take Me Away" is a desperate call out into the void. A plea to get out, but being afraid to touch the soil of different continents, refusing to open your eyes onto other patches of skies than your own. And about making hard decisions when you finally arrive at the conclusion that it's time to leave.
This is the first song. I have ten more where this came from… And a story of my own to tell!
