That Anneleen Boehme is a virtuoso double bass player, we could observe since more than a decade in the iconic band LABtrio. That she is an accomplished composer and bandleader, we saw in the 9-piece classical-meets-jazz formation Grand Picture Palace. Now we see her in her genuine vulnerability: together with her regular companion, the double bass, she announces a fresh and unique solo project. Her music is anointing to the soul and her playing leaves no one unmoved.
Anticipating her debut album 'Eunoia' on April 18th 2025, Anneleen unveils a first single today, March 12th. 'Lament For The Worried' is a mesmerising composition, layering pizzicato loops and almost weeping bow strikes into a melancholic narrative on the double bass.
