The forthcoming album "Overwhelmed" also marks the return of guitarist Deio Tambasco, reuniting him with Lufeh Batera and bassist Duca Tambasco, continuing a musical partnership that began in 1993. Despite living on different continents, Batera in Los Angeles and the rest of the band in São Paulo, the group wrote nearly 70% of the album remotely, exchanging ideas daily and refining each track collaboratively.
While LUFEH's 2020 debut "Luggage Falling Down" leaned heavily into technicality, "Overwhelmed" strikes a new balance of complex musicianship, catchy, sing‑along choruses, fusion, jazz, and Brazilian influences, and emotional storytelling. The result is a progressive rock album that is both intricate and accessible, offering fans a deeper connection to the band's evolving sound.
