Led by Jordanian-Canadian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Qais Khoury, Pinwheel Valley is a project born of deep introspection and wide-eyed exploration. Qais' brainchild blossoms into a full band for live performances consisting of Qais on vocals, guitar and keys, Stephanos Marangos (Lead/Supporting Guitar), Max Daniels (Bass/Ableton), and Stephanos Meletiou or Phrangiskos Petrisis on drums. Originally known as KAIS, the project has evolved into a genre-blurring soundscape that fuses Indie Soul, mellow Alt-Rock, and Folktronica, drawing from a wide array of inspiration including Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, James Blake, and Radiohead. At once cinematic and intimate, Pinwheel Valley's music dwells in the spaces between our deepest instincts and the relentless pressures of an ego-driven, late-stage capitalist world.

From writing songs at thirteen to studying production in London at Point Blank Music School, Qais' musical path has always been a soulful defiance of expectations, nurtured by a childhood surrounded by his father's renditions of Sinatra and Elton John, and shaped by a cross-cultural upbringing that spans Amman, London, Vancouver, and now Cyprus, where he runs Hot Soap Studios Ltd. 'Werewolf', sure to ensnare fans of Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, and Nick Murphy, was produced and written by frontman Qais Khoury, who also co-mixed the project alongside Andreas Matheou. Mastering was handled by Robb Robinson, whose impressive credits include Jason Mraz, Alan Parsons, Angels & Airwaves, and Switchfoot, among others.

The track begins with poignant piano-driven balladry with delicate guitar atmospherics accompanying Qais' emotionally-charged delivery. The song swells to a slow-burning glimmer, and as the chorus hits with soaring melodies, a haunting sense of desperation takes hold. Channeling the emotive grandeur of early 2000s Coldplay, 'Werewolf' blends vulnerability with volatility; an introspective anthem for those grappling with inner demons born from societal neglect.

Frontman Qais Khoury told us: "'Werewolf' is the closest thing I ever wrote to a Coldplay song. If you like early 2000s Coldplay albums, this single is right up your alley. 'Werewolf' is about the average working-class man who feels like an outcast in society—a man who has developed an inescapable, uncontrollable urge to turn violent and destructive, much like a werewolf. This transformation is fueled by the ongoing neglect and mistreatment from those who have the power to help but choose not to. As a result, he's caught in a constant struggle between the good and evil within himself."
