Following "Veil of Illusion" , this new track unfolds in Theme & Variation, capturing the euphoric rise of AI before twisting into darker, fractured tones. Expect cinematic production, djent/prog/metalcore fusion, and soaring vocals called “breathtaking in their strength.” With Josh Baines (Malevolence) on guitar and Mike Malyan (ex-Monuments) on drums, the musicianship is world-class. Fresh off his award-winning record Hymns of the Unholy (ISSA & WSA), Pick Up Goliath is pushing metal into uncharted territory.
Pick Up Goliath bouscule les genres et redéfinit les frontières. Obsédé par l’idée de repousser les limites, il mélange les styles, abat les murs et forge des sons percutants et toujours novateurs. Son prochain projet, Artificial Ascendency, est un concept-album en quatre mouvements révolutionnaire, considéré comme la toute première véritable symphonie métal. Avec Josh Baines (Malevolence) et le légendaire batteur djent Mike Malyan (ex-Monuments), il retrace l’ascension, la chute et le jugement de l’humanité dans un voyage symphonique aussi viscéral qu’inoubliable. Avant cela, il a sorti Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy, décrit comme « un album spectaculaire qui réunit les légendes et icônes du métal contemporain pour s’imposer comme l’une des propositions les plus innovantes et influentes du genre ». Avec des invités tels que Howard Jones (Light The Torch), Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), Scott LePage (Polyphia) et bien d’autres, ce disque a confirmé Pick Up Goliath comme une force incontournable du métal moderne. De la scène au studio, il a fait ses armes en tournée avec Armstrong, partageant l’affiche avec You Me At Six et The Pigeon Detectives. Aujourd’hui, à la tête de Mammoth Sound Studio en Espagne, il produit aussi bien du métal écrasant que de l’électro avant-gardiste, collaborant à l’international avec des artistes comme Dom Brown, guitariste de Duran Duran. Avant tout cela, il enseignait l’écriture de chansons et la production au BRIT School, où il a contribué à façonner la carrière de superstars actuelles telles que RAYE, Rex Orange County, Olivia Dean, Cat Burns et Lola Young.
