I tried everything else to save my soul. Since this sickness happened my world was blank. It felt as though I was falling into an abyss—I was not dead but I was not alive. In the end, falling into the abyss was needed. My soul had to be cut right through.

You have to know there is sweetness on the other side of the abyss.
