Ona Mafalda is an artist in constant reinvention
News

With the release of her new album, Reset, Ona Mafalda begins a phase of artistic and personal renewal. The record is a journey of electric guitars and lyrics that explore the courage it takes to start over, inspired by the music that has accompanied her since childhood — now reinvented in her own language. Inspired by artists such as The Strokes, Florence and the Machine, Blondie, PJ Harvey, and Patti Smith, Ona embraces the rawness of the guitar and turns it into the driving force behind a new creative chapter. Recorded in London with producers Mac Wetha, Dan Holloway, Sour Sync, and Khotton, Reset exudes authenticity, strength, and vulnerability in equal measure, reflecting the voice of a generation unafraid to begin again.
As new album Reset makes its way into the world, so do two brand-new songs ‘Harta’ and ‘Broken Games’. These latest offerings - alongside recent single and album highlight ‘Running’ - demonstrate the many different ways that Ona uses her bilingual skills to express and connect. Reset is an album that finds a way to bind its many differing characterises into one clear identity.
