NYC shoegazers Anilore return with Lia Fail, their first full length release since 2014's Dead Love's Grave.
2017's Lull EP saw the group pursuing a more ambient, minimal, acoustic sound, Lia Fail sees the band expanding on that approach with more developed structures and cinematic arrangements. From the early R.E.M. folk/chamber textures of Lia Fail, Entangled and Words, The Galaxy 500/Beach House tinged Firefly, the mournful, carnivalesque All Grown Up, the choral chant of "Cumulus," the otherworldly longing of "Tundra," and The Cure, Smiths, Byrds tinged closer "Motion In Maze," the eight songs evoke an impressionistic soundtrack. A reverb-hazed canvas of images, scenes and memories.

Anilore are a NYC shoegaze band originally formed in New Paltz, NY. They released their debut album Still Awake in 1997. The band returned in 2014 with their second album Dead Love's Grave. Lia Fail is the band's third full length and their first release since 2017's Lull EP.
