NEWS - New release from The Low Stakes Band called “End of War.”
The song is a hopeful and thought provoking anthem imagining a future where war is something humanity has moved beyond. It was inspired by the cultural impact of The Beatles, the message of Imagine by John Lennon, and the storytelling of Dr. Seuss. The idea for the song came after reading The Lorax to the songwriter’s young son and reflecting on the famous “UNLESS” message. Around the same time, watching the documentary The War by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick sparked the thought: what if someday we could explain war to our children as something humanity used to do, but no longer does? Although the song was written a few years ago, it is now being officially released for the first time. An earlier version won First Place in the USA Songwriting Contest, and contest judge Mike Pinder of The Moody Blues wrote to say, “I knew John Lennon, and he would have liked this song.”
