Fosfina is the musical project of Cleiton Cavalcante, started in 2019 in the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil.
Since the release of his first single, "Mascara," that same year, the artist has built his career as a "one-man band," a format he has maintained to this day. Throughout his journey, Fosfina has released various works, including the EPs Mistérios (2022) and Fosfina (2024).
Fosfina draws musical inspiration and influence not only from the Brazilian Gothic and Post-Punk scenes but also from international acts such as H.I.M., Type O Negative, Depeche Mode, Twin Tribes, The Cure, and The Smiths. The project creates a unique atmosphere with lyrics exploring romance and tragedy, as well as nihilistic and existentialist themes. It delivers an intimate and dark aesthetic through its lyrics, combined with catchy choruses, heavy guitar variations, and distinct rhythms, all in pursuit of musical originality.
