Nattmann: a new album, "Et Jordsmonn Av Døde,"
News
Formed in 2021, Nattmann was born out of a life-long fascination for the morbid and gruesome, with the works of Torgrim Sørnes serving as a catalytic factor. With a desire to tap into the emotions and lore of Norway's past, the band crafts a dark musical landscape that explores themes of disgrace, horror, atrocities, and agony.
The name "Nattmann" derives from the role of local pariahs who, among other disgraceful tasks, assisted the executioner in his dark deeds. Void of religious and political views, Nattmann's music delves into the culture and way of life from this era, capturing the mindset of the time with chilling accuracy.
"Et Jordsmonn Av Døde" is a testament to Nattmann's commitment to authenticity and storytelling. With influences ranging from Marble Tomb to DALIT and AUREOLE, the album promises to captivate listeners with its raw emotion and atmospheric intensity.
