From world fame in the south of Sweden, via Denmark, in the company of The Soundtrack of our Lives, to New York, Woodstock, Nashville, and Miami. In the early 2000s, The Models featuring singer and guitarist Rebecka Cronsten, bassist Kicki Flygare, and drummer Maja Ljungberg – i.e., the trio that can now finally be heard again on their EP American Tour Edition from 2005 – was a hot pulsating heart of rock n’ roll and fiery punk. Today, the EP that took the Swedish band across the Atlantic is finally released on all the world’s digital music platforms!
 
“We were the best, the prettiest, and we also had the most fun! The Models were formed in the early 2000s to create something of our own. We wrote music that would be easy to sing along to, that made everyday life a little better, and we played because it was fun to be in a band.
Our ambitions made us world-famous in Malmö and took us to all possible and impossible stages around the country. We played at city festivals, ragga meetings, and skateboard events. We played at punk clubs, every rock club we could find, and conquered both small and large stages in our neighboring countries. We were the opening act for The Soundtrack of our Lives at gigs in Skåne and Copenhagen in 2004. Our last tour took us to the USA in 2007, where we traveled from New York City to Miami with bands we came into contact with via the now forgotten social platform MySpace.
We were in Woodstock and got to sleep over at a billionaire who wanted us to play in his barn. We were warned about alligators in Florida. We played at a tiki bar in New York. In Nashville, the audience consisted only of the other bands that were on the tour. There were highs and lows, adventure and angst, but most of all, a lot of rock n’ roll and burning punk hearts.
After the US, family life took over. The first Model's baby was on tour in both France and the US. But the thought of playing together again someday is ever present.”

The Models have had several different members since its inception. In addition to the already mentioned trio Rebecka Cronsten (2001-), Kicki Flygare (2001-) and Maja Ljungberg (2004-2012), Toril Lindqvist from Alice In Videoland and The Volt (2001-2003), Anna-Karin Pettersson (2001-2004), Anni Jungberg (2001-2005), Maja Ljungberg (2004-2012) and Glenn Sundell (2012-2015) have also been members of the band.
