NEWS - Kayla Storlid “I Went on an Airplane” is a playful, vintage-inspired swing song for kids and families
It is written from a child’s perspective but has the groove of adult music. I wrote it after the mom of a scared kiddo stopped me and asked if I had ever been on an airplane. I told the little girl that I loved flying and that she would get to watch the clouds go by. I wrote the song to help kiddos prepare for their first flight and help grown-ups remember theirs. The song turns “I’m feeling a little scared!” into “Oh my gosh, we’re flying high,” and ends with “Maybe one day, I’ll fly a plane.”
