'Ever been in a relationship where things are mostly good but there's one topic or recurring debate that rears its ugly head from time to time and it almost does the relationship in? That's what CIRCLES is all about. I wrote this song to capture the frustration and uncertainty that comes with those types of heated arguments that are laced with doubt about the future of the relationship. Also, just wanted to add that I'm so fortunate to work with amazing producers on the songs in this EP. They've produced hit songs and albums for Blink 182, Jelly Roll, Gwen Stefani, Machine Gun Kelly, Avril Lavigne, Selena Gomez, Linkin Park, Alien Ant Farm and more! (Special note: All of my songs are original, written and sung by me (never AI) so any effects on my vocals were intentional artistic choices made to fit the mood or theme of the song. :) ) '
Songwriter in a lyrical life. Pouring it all out, surrendering to her cathexis. :) Currently hailing from Virginia, Jody has lived all over the US from coast to coast...and feels fortunate to have met some kindred spirits along the way that she now considers friends and family. Jody has been writing songs since she was 15 years old but recently with the sudden loss of her father has stepped into an entirely new realm of prolific writing and creativity. She infuses all her emotions and lessons learned from life and love into the fabric of her music. Her desire is that her songs will help her connect with others through these shared or similar experiences on a much more personal and deeper level. Jody is constantly writing, producing and recording new songs or collaborating with other musicians. She has recently settled into the pace of writing at least one new song each day!
