NEWS - Jay Sprouse "Innocent Harmony"

"In May 2008, jobless and musically untrained, I was inspired by a Tom Petty film to buy a guitar. During the 2008 housing crash, I moved into a small Farmville, VA apartment. With a guitar and harmonica, I spent 14-16 hours daily learning (with no outside help) music, enjoying creating melodies more than playing existing ones. By the fall of 2009, after intense practice, I recorded four songs with friends. These tracks aired on a local Farmville station but weren't officially released. Fifteen years on, I cherish these songs, still unrecognized."
