NEWS - The Italian band unveils the lead single from their debut album: a shoegaze dream of light and vertigo, crumbling into mystery
Inspired by the cult film 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' (Peter Weir, 1975), "For the Beauty of Miranda" is a track that enchants and unsettles in equal measure.
Highly recommended for fans of Cocteau Twins, Ride, The Church, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and all sonic worlds where melancholy, wonder and vertigo entwine.
Formed between Bologna and Ferrara (Italy) in 2015, Pale Blue Dot found their current identity in 2018 with members from Zeder and Staré Město. The line-up features Tommaso Lampronti (vocals and guitars), Enrico Bongiovanni (guitars), Cosimo Tanzarella (bass) and Francesco D'Astore (drums). The band takes its name from Carl Sagan's famous definition of the Earth as a 'pale blue dot', inspired by the photograph taken by Voyager 1 in 1990 from six billion kilometres away.
