NEWS - IMPERIAL GUNPOWDER is the fourth studio album from UK rock band AIRBUS, released on Spira Records
It features 10 powerful songs that showcase the band's diverse, unique sound. The album was recorded on both sides of the Atlantic – in an ancient cottage in Portishead called The Grange, where many Airbus songs were written; in a basement studio in Bristol, where the band honed their sound; in Los Angeles, at various studios around the city. "IMPERIAL GUNPOWDER" isn't a concept album. It's a collection of songs that explore the inevitability of human nature. As a species, we can be pretty destructive, always looking for new and more creative ways to hurt each other. We're not just talking about war – even in relationships, we seem to like to sabotage ourselves and the people we love. This album looks at our worst instincts and the cyclical nature of that bad behaviour.
