Hunters of the Alps share the EP Roma
News
Hunters of the Alps is the solo project of Peruvian-American singer, producer, and songwriter Mario Giancarlo. Drawing inspiration from his diverse experiences as an immigrant, writer, filmmaker, and music industry veteran, Mario blends baroque pop, new wave, and tropi-goth into a unique sonic tapestry. His debut EP, Today, Mañana, released in 2022, showcases his songwriting and production skills, with collaborations from notable artists like Nicolas Losada and Paula Arenas. ROMA ep, out in October, rekindles the collaborations with Losada and Giorgio Siladi and adds Aurelio Valle and Alejo Leon to 6 song concept release. With a strong presence in the Miami indie-alternative scene, Mario has performed alongside notable acts such as Peter Hook, The Walkmen, Bloc Party, Twin Shadow, Kevin Karl, Tanlines, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Real Estate, and more.
ROMA was crafted in collaboration with many notable producers and musicians including Aurelio Valle (Calla) for "As I Am," Giorgio Siladi for "DLML" and Nicolas Losada (Salt Cathedral) for "Far West". The songs that make up the rest of ROMA are mini stops and deviations but still part of the road trip, journey that is this latest EP.
