FFO: 13th Floor Elevators, The Pixies, The Rolling Stones, The Sonics, Acid Tongue
HORSEFIGHT is the collaboration of Seattle newlyweds Greg Wood (lead guitar, vocals) and Sabine Bischofberger (bass, backup vocals), and their friend Fred Ness (drums), with occasional contributions from Wood’s lifelong friend Jason Volpe (guitar).
The project came together in 2023 with one simple idea: what if we mixed The Rolling Stones with the Pixies?
From there, it developed into a six-song EP with tracks blending the traditional songwriting structure of the ‘60s and early ‘70s with the fuzzy tones and raw production of ‘90s college rock.
