NEWS - Gabe Preston & GPS (Galactic Prism Sounds) "Quinticep" (feat. Jack Thomas)

"Quinticep" is the latest single released by the team behind GPS (Galactic Prism Sounds), a Philadelphia-based modern fusion jazz band that takes as many different endeavors to explore the creative umbrella that jazz has to offer through various experimental soundscapes of rhythm, melody, and harmony. This is the first single from GPS's upcoming album, "Galactic Prism Sounds," which will release sometime in January 2025. This is also the first single from GPS that was written by the keyboardist, Anthony Passante-Contaldi aka Tony PC, as opposed to Gabe Preston, the saxophonist/flutist. This track is a perfect introduction to Tony PC's one-of-a-kind approach as a keyboardist and composer, whose virtuosic technique shines all throughout, even when he's backing Gabe's saxophone solo, John Thomas's insane drum fills, and Declan Fischer's hard-hitting electric bass. GPS aims to create all the buzz that can be made with this single along with the next single ("Ode to an Adventure," sometime in December) to have access to the modern creative jazz-loving audience the band wants to make as much avenue for as possible. As the name implies, GPS would want to travel the world both physically and musically if it means bringing their explorative art with them wherever they go.
