NEWS - FEM DU LIT (alt R&B/pop) seductive summer anthem "LILYJAM" feat. Da Qween
Reminiscent of millenia pop and R&B icons Aaliayh and Janet Jackson, FEM DU LIT's "LILYJAM" offers an evocative twist by painting a lesbian love story with afrobeat rhythms. Singer-producer Francesca Eluhu–artist name FEM du lit (a play on words meaning "woman of the bed")--is a Seattle based artist of French and Congolese descent. Their music seamlessly pulls inspiration from both their Afro-diasporic heritage and an eclectic range of influences from Radiohead, Salami-Rose Joe Louis to Moses Sumney. Known for being the front-person to Seattle's psychedelic neo-soul band, Day Soul Exquisite, Francesca ventures into an alternative/indie, electro-soul sound for their solo project, FEM du lit. Their second single features instrumentalists Thomas Arndt and Lillian M Tahar, and was co-produced by Francesca Eluhu, Zora Seboulisa, and Lillian M Tahar. "LILYJAM" is to be released on Eluhu's independent record label, La fem records.
