They blended aggressive and mellow rock, psychedelic and experimental music, opera and classical elements, English queerness, sci-fi, pop... you name it. And the end result was pure Van der Graaf Generator music.

Anyway, maybe this album by Toy Weather succeeds on some parameters. There's the celebration of melody and variation, details and structural ideas, atmosphere and calm more than crescendos, - it isn't rock, it isn't pop, it isn't pure prog...it's maybe all. Maybe just Toy Weather music?»
