NEWS - FEA Release New Single “Careful” via Cosmica Artists
The track is especially timely amid broader conversations around sexual assault, abuse of power, and the pressures on women to stay small and quiet—issues that resonate deeply within punk and music communities. With "Careful," FEA aim to speak directly to younger women and LGBTQ+ listeners, offering guidance from lived experience: be unapologetic, speak up, and don't shrink yourself for anyone.
San Antonio-based FEA embody one of punk's most vital tenets: total and unapologetic freedom, expressed with both fury and joy. Produced by Chicana punk legend Alice Bag, their sophomore album No Novelties finds the band fearlessly following their instincts into unexpected territory—whether covering an early-'90s pop anthem from Mexican superstar Gloria Trevi or trash-talking en Français on the yé-yé–inspired track "Merde."
Formed in 2015 by Jenn Alva and Phanie Diaz following the breakup of their beloved band Girl in a Coma, FEA quickly carved out a kinetic sound shaped by the eclecticism of their San Antonio roots.
