Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt - a new single
News

The Swedish rock trio Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt plays music that is clearly rooted in the blues rock of the 1960s and 1970s, but also draws influences from prog, psychedelia, soul, and a host of other genres. After touring all over Sweden since last spring, the band now proudly presents their first single from the upcoming debut album, which will be released in November. The new single and music video Skepnad is now available on all major digital music platforms.
It's even hard for the members of Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt themselves to define exactly which other bands are closest to their sound.
– But those who have heard us usually mention bands like Free, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, plus the legendary Swedish hard rock pioneers November, say the three band members.
– Our first single Skepnad is based on one of the first ideas that was born and took shape in our rehearsal room. It identifies part of what we want to convey, and has a hardness that stands out in the context of the rest of the material. The next single will show other sides of our musical ambitions, our musical journey, and our goals!
Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt takes us on a journey across both safe waters and through storms and hurricanes. Even though the lyrics are in Swedish, the band's music is guaranteed to appeal to the international rock audience as well. Sometimes it’s based on heavy rock riffs, sometimes on atmospheric harmonies. Sometimes there are melodic choruses that immediately set the tone, sometimes challenging and harsh improvisational parts. Sometimes familiar soundscapes, sometimes more unexpected tones.
The trio consists of Sartez Faraj, who previously made a name for himself as an electric guitarist and singer (Siena Root, Three Seasons, Wooden Fields) and bassist (Mouth of Clay), but who is now behind the drums, with his long-time musical partner Olle Risberg (Three Seasons) on electric bass. When the two stumbled upon singer and guitarist Marcus Rogefeldt at a jam session last year, it quickly became clear that they had found a perfect third piece to a trio you won't forget!
Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt's debut album will be released on November 7, 2025.
