Following the critical and commercial successes of his earlier 2024 album, Volte-Face this latest project delivers a fresh, bold sonic experience while staying true to the artistry that attracted radio play from Jazz FM, WWFM, BBC 6 Music and prompted MOJO Magazine to write a 4 star review in their Jazz Section.

Under a pub in South London a studio was built during the pandemic.  This place has been a hub ever since.  With a lot of people going through it, and being in it, and a lot of recent and very successful albums having been recorded in it, it's a vibrant space.

The musicians behind the scenes, collaborating on those projects, have begun working with Def Pressé and will be releasing music under their own names.  There will be the same spirit of collaboration and the same fusion of genres, all based around highly skilled Jazz musicians, playing Jazz music... we'll hear Grunge, Hip Hop, Punk, Indie, Lo-Fi, with a Jazz foundation. It's about a bravery to accept a real mixture of influences. The decision to release music which underscores a commitment to preserving the warmth and authenticity of 'first-takes', offering fans a glimpse into the writing process.

Volte-Face marked a transformative moment in Leif's career, as he stepped out from behind his Producer guise and began to release music in his own name.. The record, praised for its individuality has provided a great foundation for Leif to build from.

Building on that momentum, Minimart  takes listeners on a little journey across its three tracks.  Full of quirkiness and the simple joy of writing and playing music.

This release serves to bridge an already unforgettable year with an even brighter future. A full length album expected next year with collaborations from the people that Leif used to write music and produce for.  This time around these very well known names will contribute to Leif's new role as an artist in his own name.
