"Boardwalk" is a concept album documenting the city through states of presence across a single day. The project follows DoctorBlackstone—a humanoid observer in a suit and headphones—as he navigates the urban system. The music doesn't track emotional arcs or hero narratives; it tracks time. From the pressure of morning heat to the repetitive grind of the workday, each track is a documentation of a moment, not an explanation of a feeling. "Until the Break of Dawn" (Track 7) marks the transition into the night-time states. Set 24 floors above an avenue, it captures the shift from the static waiting of the office to the fluid motion of the city after dark. The track utilizes a modern Noir-Rock aesthetic—blending Harmon-muted trumpet and bluesy guitar—to underscore a state of temporary relief. The pain isn't "cured"; it is simply suspended until the sun comes up. The Process As the songwriter and creative director, I use AI (Suno) as a generative session band to execute my specific vision. I provide all lyrical content and rigorous stylistic direction—controlling the instrumentation, tempo, and vocal delivery—to ensure the final composition adheres to the album's restrained, observational rules.
