Biography of Romano Renato
Romano Renato is the son of an Italian immigrant and a Swiss mother. His father fled to Switzerland in 1956 at the age of 17 – without speaking a word of German, carrying only a cardboard suitcase. He worked his way up from dishwasher and shoe-shiner to cook, later founding his own fruit and vegetable business – and becoming successful. This story has always been a beacon for Romano – shaped by courage, discipline, and hard work.
Romano also experienced a great deal of warmth and support during his childhood:"I always knew I was loved – by my father as well as by my mother. That feeling gave me strength and confidence. And that’s something I wanted to capture with this song."
It means a lot to Romano to dedicate this song to his father. A small anecdote:When I played the song in Italy, someone in the group said, "Now you know your son loves you." My father smiled, touched, and quietly replied, "I’ve always known that."
There’s more: Romano Renato is a trained economist and holds additional degrees and certifications in banking, wealth management, and investment analysis. His insights, discoveries, and “aha” moments regularly flow into his music – especially those that go far beyond music itself.
It was released 3 weeks ago: the single "Ti Amo Papà" is already being played on the first radio stations.
