The first days of lockdown.

We are locked up.

We send each other pieces of music, totally improvised, always recorded in a single take, then we re-record over them in response to each other.

An epistolary relationship made of sounds is built over the course of exchanges, in the general isolation.

The reason for the musical gesture is to mark a presence, to pay attention to each other, to transmit some humanity.

No hindrance.

Naked generosity.

Uninhibited from gazes, we find a spontaneous lightness.

Make fun of it like dancing on ashes.

Release act.

Manifesto without words.

We choose to publish this correspondence today because this very special gesture will have freed us and will have influenced those who follow: It could be contagious.

To sit in the devil’s chair and watch the world fall apart.
