Brand New Colony is the the brainchild of its sole member Aaron Mace and its sound is steeped in post-hardcore and alternative influences while incorporating odd time signatures, delicate textures, and lumbering riffs.

Anachronist continues to build on the band's previous releases, creating a sound that is both familiar and surprising.  Reflecting on themes of mortality and political hostility, Anachronist retains the band's signature bark while also expanding the atmosphere and textures of their more subtle moments. Mixed and mastered by Rick Johnson (Mustard Plug, Jeff Rosenstock, Sharkanoid) Anachronist is Brand New Colony at their best.
