Hailing from Inverclyde and Glasgow, Bone Idle Brothers describe themselves as a unique
blend of Roots Americana that has been influenced by their experience of growing up in the
west coast of Scotland. Rough and ready, their sound mixes soulful lyrics, bright guitars and
steady rhythms to produce thoughtful discursions of both the highs and lows of life. Running the
gamut from soulful introspections to full-on instant singalongs Bone Idle Bros combine multi
instrumentalists from all walks of life to create a singularly melodic sonic experience.
Their name being somewhat of a misnomer, the Bros have been working away over the
previous few years, recording a debut album for release in 2024. The eponymous LP is released
on 25th November 2024 through Last Night From Glasgow's Introducing platform and was
recorded at both La Chunky and Gorbals Sound studios in Glasgow by producers Johnny Smille
and Kevin Burleigh. Bone Idle Bros the album is available on vinyl LP, CD and digital, it features
the singles Sometimes, Lately and Whisky & Pills.
Above all, the Bros methodology is to utilise classic songwriting with a toe-tapping alt-country
feel following in the footsteps of Neil Young, The La's, Wilco, Alabama 3, The Jayhawks
amongst others.
