Blue Starling Unveil New Single "The Shore"
News

“The Shore” has a sound somewhere between The Milk Carton Kids and Nikki Lane. It has a distant musical relation to Radiohead, but with an energy resembling Cary Ann Hearst’s. It all comes together to a melodic exploration of longing and introspection.
Following their radio-played single “Let You Go”, Blue Starling is now releasing a melancholic song about dreams that have been put aside—those that didn't come true, but lie dormant as time goes by.
Pia Ericsson Nilsen and Marte Elise Hagebø make their music on the small island of Askøy, outside of Bergen, Norway. Nature and the sea provide a backdrop to their musical and lyrical depth, and in this song, these strong forces narrate the theme.

Marte Elise Hagebø: vocals, guitars
Kjartan Ericsson: guitars
Eirik Marinius Sandvik: guitars, perc
