"Truth", studio version, will be the new single, available on all platforms from 17 December.
AMBULANCE was born in the early 10s, when singer-songwriter Andrea Artistico moved to Belgium. The name of his project already hints at travelling as the central theme of his music, as the word ambulance originates from the Latin ambulare, which means to go, to move. But AMBULANCE is also a tribute to the homonymous track from Blur’s “Think Tank” album, a song that with its gentle beat encourages listeners to embrace their journeys without fear, wherever they’ll take them. “I ain't got nothing to be scared of, no” the choruses sing, with the call becoming harder to resist at each repetition.
AMBULANCE’s first independent album, “Everyman for himself”, was released in 2016 and quickly followed by the 2017 EP “Give it a try”, issued this time with the italian label BulbArt. In its review, independent italian music blog “Indiepercui” defined AMBULANCE’s music as “the natural expression of a love for acoustic harmonies”, capable of “reconciling distant souls and loves”. Italian online magazine “L’indiependente” described AMBULANCE's sound as rooted “in the atmosphere of the 70s” and “capable of maintaining its own autonomy and integrity”, while “sounding classic from the first listen”. These two records established AMBULANCE as a solid presence in the Brussels independent circuit and opened the doors to concerts in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, Spain and Turkey. Also, they brought AMBULANCE to major stages, where they supported well-established Italian bands Marlene Kuntz (in 2016) and Foja (in 2018), as well as the Turkish Baba ZuLa (also in 2016). Following a hiatus imposed by the covid19 pandemic, AMBULANCE resumed activity with a new line up in 2024: Andrea is now accompanied by Federico Cardu on guitar, Alessandro Valdambrini on keyboards, Stefano Capone on bass and Filippo Gagliardi on drums.
