Ali & the Hilljack Stompers originate from the Hills of Appalachia and Suburbs of Baltimore...We are an unlikely group of musicians, so you are going to have to experience us, LOUDLY! Pulling from influences that range from Pop to Punk, Metal to Country, and Rockabilly to Broadway, we will leave you wondering whether you’ve been kissed or bitten. Tony and Mike, the rhythmic backbone of the Local Staple and now disbanded "Two Tone Tony and the Carburator Cats", regrouped with the intent of writing and recording New Material. This became the underbelly of The Hilljack Stompers. After experimenting with several session artists, the group added Jamie Parks on Drums that tease you with jabs and then pound into your head with brute force. Ali, a powerhouse who was fronting an unrelated Local Act, was stalked and later hijacked to complete the evolution, adding her own broad, soulful, influential ingredients and a Voice that sirens for itself.
