‘Waxwing’ is built around an interpolation of a set of lyrics from teen-pop sensation Toni Basil’s “Hey Mickey”. Sorry vocalist and lead-songwriter Asha Lorenz inverts the bubblegum hook of the original into something more spectral, cut-through with the jet black humour Sorry have become synonymous with.
The band are set to support Fontaines D.C. on their full November 2024 UK and Irish tour, including two shows at Alexandra Palace.
