All instruments were written, performed and recorded in her home studio and mixed and mastered by Mike Butler (Phoebe Bridgers “Waiting Room”). The track is nostalgic and dreamy with lush vocal stacks and lyrics that ruminate and resolve, sadness to determination.
Minnesota born, Cortnee Langlie is a singer/songwriter/recording artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area where she self-produces all of her own music. By age 18 she had performed for over a million people live in numerous performance mediums. After a decade of recovering from her formative years, and obtaining a degree in Women's Studies, she saved all the salvageable bits and spun them into gold - In 2014 she recorded her first EP with the project, Narrators, and also began a successful career as a music teacher and session musician. Her new single, "I Am Still Here," debuts the first set of wholly self-produced recordings which feature songs written, performed and recorded over the last decade. Each song is a prayer for deeper self-knowing, peace, redemption and forgiveness.
