You feel winter-bluesed by the cold, dark days and nights and ugly weather? You would like to get relieved of this? Then listen as hot-tip to the new  cd by Ruf records “Girls With Guitars” I 2015 it’s ladies time again by 3 young beauties; Eliana Cargnelutti from Italy, Sadie Johnson and Heather Crosse from the U.S.A.

The starting track “Girl Band” starts with heavy hittin’ drums and bass and the highly dynamic and rockin-bluesin’ riffs make you feel immediately extremely happy and set you in utmost good mood again. The duelling heavy axe-duels by Eliana and Sadie make your heart beat strongly by passion. By the second title “Tush” the girls are in high love to the  “Little Ol’ Band from Texas” – ZZ Top. The  third track “This House Just Ain’t My Home” is a enthusing guitar-piano blues the Memphis style, hot to be played live in BB King’s Blues Club on Beale Street. Unforgettable and sadly missed Joe Cocker – R.I.P will certainly love to listen to the GWG version of “Feelin’ Alright” as 4th title from heaven now. The kind of jazzy guitar-solos of mistresses Johnson and Cargnelutti give the song their own notch and intuition. Track five is finally a highlight song for Chicago bound blues puristics. Heather is the lady to sing it ever so emotional and soulful.  What a voice besides her six-string therapies. The girls are hard-rockin’ the house by song No. 6 – “I Hate Myself For Loving You”. Get the hot Saturday night party started and “Play It Loud”! A hottie for lovers of bands like KISSAerosmithVan Halen or The Runaways. Rollin’, rockin’ & tumblin’ is the motto by the following “Give Me A Kiss” The girls off course love to party. They dedicate “Shades Of Love” to Mardi-Gras City New Orleans by the groovy, funky sound. So it’s time for “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler”! By “Life” it’s time for a Texas axe-strut again. By the second last title “Say Goodbye” the cd is not over yet, but the ladies get romantic and melancholic to nearly leave you musically. A beautiful heart-stirring love ballad for upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Jim Gaines did hell of a job again as producer, fantastic dynamic high-fidelity sound*****

By the final blues-rocker “Wish You Hadn’t Gone” Girls With Guitars leave you so happy, hot-blooded and in thrill of ecstasy that you are looking already forward to catch them live by the Blues Caravan Tour 2015!
