"SO SEXY SO LONELY" is probably the first real sex-rocker since "I WAS MADE FOR LOVIN' YOU". ;-)

Sedlmeir: Biography

From 1992 to 1996 Sedlmeir is the singer and lyricist of the Saarbrücken noise-rock band "Blind". After the release of their first official album "Pseudoamericanroutine", performances at the Rockpalast, a tour with the Melvins and guest appearances in Germany, France, Czech Republic and England followed. In 1995 the band went back into the studio to record their second album "Life Guard" with Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten) as producer.

1996 Sedlmeir founds the minimal-trash rock duo "Stereohools". Part of the concept is to release all songs exclusively on music cassette and distribute them via motorway service stations. Nevertheless, the Stereohools released their EP "Back from Japan" on vinyl in 1999.

Since 2002 Sedlmeir works mainly solo. Alone, with guitar and rhythm machine, he performs in Germany, England, Austria and Switzerland.

His debut album "Hard Rock Roboter-Germany" was released in 2004, this year he moved from Cologne to Berlin. The album "feelings", which will be released in 2006, he produced with Tilo Schierz-Crusius (surrogate) and Moses Schneider.

His EP "Zäher than Leather" (Tougher than Leather), released in 2007, prompted the VICE magazine to make the statement:

"The only man Elvis could have learned anything from."

From 2006 to 2008 he will travel together with Oliver Maria Schmitt (former editor-in-chief of Titanic) through Germany to the provinces with a joint programme.

Because of the 2010 released album "Import Export", with which Sedlmeir expands his musical spectrum in the direction of chanson, he is called "Germany's slipperiest songwriter" in the intro.

Starting in 2011 Sedlmeir will work with the artist Carsten Lisecki on the genre-busting format "The Great Lisecki & Sedlmeir Show". This show will deal with 'supposedly uninteresting' topics through music, short texts and documentaries.

In the meantime Sedlmeir is active as a presenter, conférencier and actor.

In 2014, he begins to add a visual element to his program: black-and-white projections on stage form a second level, abstracting or concretizing the song contents. This creates a kind of cinema behind the performance, with which Sedlmeir interacts at times.

In 2018 he will write the crime musical "Rache!" together with Ahne ("Zwiegespräche mit Gott"), for which he will also compose the music.

The main focus of his work, however, is still his own solo programme, which he constantly changes and develops.
