“Can’t Keep Up”, is the  new single by so.sophie.The song was composed and produced during a backpack that passed through Portugal and Peru, and brings jazz and indie pop influences with an optimistic feel.

The single began to be composed at the end of 2019, while the singer was on a trip to Portugal. There she met Martin Alvarez, an Argentine musician, who played the guitar while she improvised with her singing. The production also took place through a spontaneous meeting with Diego Telge, who was playing the piano in a bar in Peru, when Sophie started to sing along with him.

“He told me he was a producer and would love to produce my songs. As I had no fixed plans for my trip, I recorded five songs with him in that time. ‘Can’t Keep Up’ being one of them. It was a total meeting of destiny with Diego, totally spontaneous, but we had a very good musical connection that let us flow in the creation of these songs.”, recalls so.sophie.
