Polish noise rock band Whalesong shares a new album "Leaving a Dream"
News
"Leaving a Dream" takes listeners on an exploratory journey across a musical landscape strewn with distinct elements of noir jazz, drone, ambient, industrial, gothic americana, and noise rock. The 120-minute opus includes tracks such as "Enter", "Forgive", "Believe Us", "Leaving a Dream", "Here I Am", and "We Have Never Really Lived", among others.
Band leader Michal Kielbasa, along with Grzegorz Zawadzki, Piotr Dziemski, and Elise Aranguren, has aimed to capture the live music atmosphere as closely as possible. A good number of the instrument tracks were recorded in one take, resulting in an organic and resonant sound that carries a pronounced soundtrack-style feeling.
