NEWS - NYC indie rock-power pop outfit OTHERWORLDLY THINGS debuts 'Time Turns To Memories', previewing sophomore album

FOR FANS OF: The Kinks, Buzzcocks, Husker Du, The Hollies, Guided By Voices, The Creation, Neil Young, The Jam

Formed in 2014, Otherworldly Things would deliver their debut concert in great company, opening for Buzzcocks at New York City's Irving Plaza in April 2015, even before releasing their debut album. This four-piece is made up of Jim Browne (guitar, lead and backing vocals, violin), Matt Revie (guitar, keyboards, glockenspiel), Jason Binnick (bass, backing vocals, keyboards, cello) and Travis Harrison (drums, percussion).

It's been a few years since the band's first full-length album 'Beeline to the A-List', released in 2017 with some of the material recorded at Brooklyn's legendary BC Studio, run by Martin Bisi, Like many artists, Covid and its lockdowns put a dent in any tangible plans for the band. Additional material was recorded by bassist Jason Binnick and former drummer Kevin Hudson, who ended up moving out of New York during the pandemic. The band ultimately went on hiatus... until now..

As the world began to return to normal, Jim Browne spearheaded the effort to record new material at Serious Business Records in Brooklyn with Travis Harrison (Guided By Voices, Built To Spill), who also joins the band on drums and percussion, adding some notable pizzazz. This EP was mastered at Listen Up Studios by Jamal Ruhe (Guided by Voices, Phoebe Bridgers, Death, Jimmy Eat World, Misfits).
