Making the video for Connection was a dream. My "job" turned into spending multiple days at Goodwill looking for bright colored outfits and shoes to match. Griffin meanwhile was gathering an army to paint sets, do hair and makeup (shout out to Jamie!), build columns, and steady cameras for hours on end. The concept for Connection was born out of many conversations between Griffin and I, sorting through set designs, color palettes, and props. We ultimately landed on something really fun, energetic, and colorful. In this process I discovered something very important. I realized how much I LOVE bright colors and how much JOY they add to my life. I used to stand in my closet feeling discouraged about my clothes and I would most often end up wearing all black. Now when I get dressed to go somewhere, I have all of these colorful clothes leftover from this video shoot (or ones that didn't make it in!) and it feels like an exciting opportunity to go and light up a room. Like "I get to wear this?" Yes, I do. Thank you to Griffin for adding to my joy and making this amazing video for me. I love it so much. You were so fun to work with. -Jill⁠
