Written, produced, mixed and mastered by Jasper Sommer himself, Memento is centered around his struggles with depression and feelings of inadequacy, exploring moods from melancholy and alienation to moments of clarity and triumph. Some songs were first written back in 2017, such as the opening and final tracks, however Jasper never felt comfortable in completing them until last year. Through this new project, he hopes that his journey will resonate with others navigating their own internal battles.

Jasper Sommer is an English musician, record producer, singer and songwriter. Recently signed to Finnish based EFG Records. Through exploration of sounds and moods, Jasper has developed a skill set which lends him to the experimental music scene, to which he has been compared to the likes of Four Tet and James Blake. With singles being premiered with Complex and Ear Milk. Jasper is a reclusive naturist with an idealistic vision to change the landscape of the world we live in today with his music and art. Spawned from the depths of Derbyshire, Jasper has attained a multifaceted skill set that has helped him mould the unorthodox, underlying framework of his music.
